THE BIG OPINION

Highlights for low lights
Back in August we said the Champions League format could be a good thing.
More games, more opponents, five months of football and absolute chaos.
We were half right and half wrong.
For the top sides that have been coasting, the jeopardy has been low and the latter games have been a bit stagnant.
For the top sides who have been struggling, they’ve been given undeserved lifelines. Man City arguably shouldn’t both still be in the competition.
But for the minnows of the Champions League?
It’s been brilliant.
When was the last time Celtic, Brugge, Feyenoord or Brest had a chance to play a two-legged Champions League knockout fixture?
If we zoom out of our own Premier League lens, football is about inclusivity, excitement and opportunity.
This format has delivered. 🌟
THE BIG FANTASY

Guns ablaze
Arsenal’s attacking troubles could actually present an opportunity for shrewd, or risky, FPL players.
With just Sterling, Trossard and Nwaneri to count on in attack, there’s a chance that Arteta will go rogue.
The Gunners have a decent set of games against Leicester, West Ham and Forest coming up.
There are whispers that either Calafiori or Merino could be used as a back-up striker…
🇮🇹 Calafiori £5.8m
🇪🇸 Merino £6m
The plus with Calafiori is he is almost certain to start, has scored a couple of goals from left-back, and will still pick up any clean sheet points as a defender.
THE BIG QUOTE

Favourite thing, James?
“Just getting into bed at the end of the day, just us two. And then ******* .”
