THE BIG OPINION

He’s let his Guard down.

Pep Guardiola saying, “I want to harm myself”, is one of the most insane things a manager has ever done.

The words themselves are irresponsible and insensitive.

The creepy laugh was even weirder.

And honestly, we’re not buying it.

He panicked, said something he regretted, ran out of the press conference and then released a public apology.

Which is still easier than saying something like, “I got in a fight with someone in the dressing room…”.

The injuries aren’t really consistent with scratching oneself. They are consistent with a fight. Red marks on the forehead, cut nose and bruised lip.

Keep an eye on the team sheet or any suspicious absences for Man City this weekend.

BIG SIX ENERGY

A real throwback

Last week our pick was Matheus Cunha (who bagged 16 FPL points).

This week, we’re looking at Liam Delap, who you could say s a bit of a throwback – if you’ll excuse the dad-related pun (see Rory Delap, above).

Liam, like his old man, is old school. Tall, strong and powerful with a big weapon.

Unlike his old man, though, he’s got a bit of magic about him, coming through Man City’s academy.

Ipswich have an easy-ish run of games coming up and are starting to get used to this Premier League malarkey – Liam is already on six goals, too.

At £5.6m he’s much better value than half of the more expensive strikers ahead of him (Mateta (£7.2), Jesus (£6.8) and Gakpo (£7.1) etc).
