The Real Election
A new man is about to step into No.10! 🙌
He started off as young campaigner on the far left, but has since found more success towards the centre-ground.
Unafraid to tackle the opposition. Always on the ball. Labour-intensive.

THE BIG FACTS
Pub Ammo
🇪🇸 Spain have never won a knockout match at the Euros or World Cup against a host team – with nine failed attempts. They face Germany today.
🔴 Chelsea and Fulham, the only constituency to contain two football clubs in the same name, is now a Labour seat.
🇨🇭 Granit Xhaka has scored exactly the SAME amout of goals for Switzerland as Jude Bellingham, Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins have scored for England COMBINED (14).
🇫🇷 France are yet to concede a goal from open play with William Saliba starting in central defence.
🇵🇹 Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 0 goals from 2.96xG, the biggest xG underperformance by any player at the Euros.

Who did Gareth vote for?
At a guess – and really that’s all you can do – we reckon he’s showing all the hallmarks of a Lib Dem.
Hear us out…
🥕 Can’t work out what to do with the left.
🥕 Experimented with strange tactics.
🥕 Likes gimmicks. (see Ed Sheeran singalong)
🥕 Wants to win IN Europe.
🥕 Very media friendly.
🥕 Sings Sweet Caroline after irrelevant victories.
🥕 Never comes out on top.
Here for a fun time, not a long-time.
That said – we have a very sneaky suspicion that he WILL win the Euros (if not Spain or Portugal). The draw couldn’t be easier, the performances can’t get any worse, and Spain are the only team playing decent football.
And if we win, it will be the biggest anticlimax.
Gareth Southgate is only person alive who would think that Ed Sheeran is the man to bring in to boost the spirits of the English players.

THE BIG OPINION

The likely winners.
Just four of the remaining eight teams have won all four of their games on xG: Spain, Portugal, Germany and France.
That will hardly surprise anyone who’s watched an England, Holland, Turkey or Switzerland game.
But France? Hmm. They’ve been poor – arguably even worse than England. A tight defence can go a long way. In Portugal, they face a team who are one substitution away from clicking into gear (out: Ronaldo, in: anyone). Will be very cagey.
Germany have home advantage but have shown they are beatable, while Spain have been the dominant force of this Euros without being tested too much yet (Italy were not Italy and Croatia are over the hill). We expect Spain to progress.
The draw has massively opened up for England, who have mostly been very solid in defence.
A new formation should see them creep their way to the Final and maybe even win the most underwhelming major tournament we’ve probably ever seen.
Shortlist: Portugal, Spain or England.

“Why do I not make runs in behind anymore? It depends non the team. When we had Pogba for example, I could just blindly make a run and he would find me. Now I have to adapt to a different situation.”
